Yo Ho Ho!

One last Queen's Blade statue (for now) is none other than Ymir from the Queen's Blade: Rebellion line.

So while this is the second series in the franchise, this isn't Ymir's first appearance. She actually is part of the first season, but is dressed more Lolita that Dominatrix Pirate. Representing the Dwarves, this version is armed with twin Axes rather than the one giant axe she possessed in the first series. Certainly the theme and colour of her outfit has changed, but there are some elements which have been carried on, namely aspects of the armour and her fancy hair. Interestingly, the original Megahouse statue did not have any armoured Gauntlets, but the Revoltech did - perhaps this was a change made for her anime model.

So yeah.. Pirate x Bondage gear, I guess. Effectively all clad in Dark Pewter/Black, this version certainly is more visually striking than the first one. Not sure what's up with the Corset/Skirt combo but this is anime and I know better than to question it. One of the neat things about this statue is that it is one of the only that I'm aware of (in this IP) that offers slight articulation - the arms are provided with a swivel at the Bicep level and the elbows can rotate. This gives some freedom when it comes to posing the Axes.

In addition, this statue also has a face swapping option. It's not the most obvious change in expression, but it is there. Swapping is pretty straight forward with the usual front of hair separation method. The neck itself can swivel, which again allows for some variation is posing.,

The finer details are again, pretty good (considering the age and more importantly, the price point). This statue does highlight some of the more average level production values that this tend generally provides, such as the skull on the hat and the not quite sanded curls on her head. The paint work on most of the statue is quite good, especially the armoured parts and even the sleeves are nice and sharp. Cast off reveals some good musculature and detailing, but you can probably appreciate that things aren't quite as titilating given the character we're dealing with, though admittedly the underwear is probably the riveting of them all.
